Well, I've decided to complete some projects that I set aside to work on other things. Yesterday i grabbed some washable markers to use to stencil the pattern on, if it works. This is a good idea, it is so clear on the fabric. I started the quilting yesterday and got 1/8th of my little project done! I also spent time organizing my fabric scraps. It is an interesting assortment. I am picturing a scrap quilt in my not so distant future!

Day one of blogging
And so it starts! I begin blogging! I thought with all the quilting I'm itching to do, it might be fun to post things for people to see. I am by no means an expert quilter, but it keeps me entertained. I have found that it is very calming for me to hand stitch the pieces, sort of my own version of therapy.
After I finished piecing my latest work, (pictures to come later if I can figure that out) I decided to clean up my fabric scraps and even finish piecing a project that got set aside for some baby quilts. So now I have three projects needing to be quilted. I think I'll go smallest to biggest to get these done, so pillow, baby blanket, queen size quilt. I have to promise myself not to start any more projects until all three of these are done.
I am going to look into getting a standing quilt frame, I found one online that I think will work for what I want, and should fold enough to get out of the way in our full house, so time to schmooze the husband for an early birthday present!
